Wojas: PLN 24.03 million in Q1 2010 sales revenues

Footwear company Wojas recorded PLN 24.03 million in consolidated sales revenues (up from PLN 16.35 million a year earlier) and PLN 0.61 million in consolidated net profits in Q1 2010 (up from PLN 2.04 million loss a year earlier); Q1 2010 operational profit amounted to PLN 0.6 million (vs. PLN 1.91 million loss a year earlier).

Wojas was established on the premises of a former Nowotarskie Zakłady Przemysłu Skórzanego Podhale and until 2007 it operated under the name of Zakłady Produkcyjno-Handlowe Wojas (subsequently transferred in its entirety as an in-kind contribution to a joint stock company Wojas SA).
Currently, the company employs some 500 workers and manufactures over 550,000 pairs of shoes annually. Wojas opened its first company store in 1990. In 1997 Wojas Trade Sp. z o.o. was established, which took over the existing retail locations and began to expand the chain.
Currently, Wojas footwear is available in over 65 company stores all over Poland. The company also plans to expand abroad.
